Robin Goods insight:
Twitter is a new free web service which allows you to get the RSS feed for any active Twitter account. Highly useful for news and content curators wanting to subscribe with their RSS reader or content curation tool to specific Twitter accounts. From March 2013 Twitter has in fact disabled its own RSS feed service. See: http://mashable.com/2012/09/05/twitter-api-rss/ http://sociable.co/social-media/twitter-puts-rss-on-death-row-can-topsy-save-it/ Free to use. Try it out now: http://www.twitter-rss.com (Thanks to Ana Cristina Pratas for discovering it)

If you want to create a "persistent search", that is, a recurring search on a specific set of keywords, and obtain a RSS feed that you can subscribe to, here is how to do it: Just append &format=rss to the end of the url to turn any search results page into an RSS feed automatically. Even better, you can combine the RSS feed parameter with the search by time parameter that Bing makes available so that you will receive new sites entering the search results more frequently in your RSS reader. Creating RSS feeds out of persisten searches can be particularly useful for news curators who want to monitor search engines on specific topics without having to manually go and perform those searches. If you curate news and stories coming from social media outlets you may have run into the need to get a RSS feed for one or more Facebook Pages, but... is there an RSS feed and where do you find it? Here is a great free solution: Fan Page Feed RSS by Julius Design makes it as easy as it can possibly be to get the RSS feed for ANY Facebook Fan page you want. In seconds. Just go to this URL: http://www.juliusdesign.net/rssfanpage/ and type the name of the Facebook Page you want to get an RSS feed for. In an instant you will see the banner of that Facebook Page appear and its RSS feed link next to it. Copy and paste it wherever you need and you are set to go. Free to use. Thanks Julius. That's value!
