The Best Online Video Content Curated Into 30' Thematic Programs: Pluto.TV

The Best Online Video Content Curated Into 30' Thematic Programs: Pluto.TV | Content Curation World | Scoop.it
Watch the best videos for free, 24/7, on any device. From music to sports, kids, skate, surf, comedy and more—it's out of this world.
Robin Good's insight:

Pluto.tv is a new web service which curates the best video clips available online by organizing content coming from YouTube and many other video sharing sites into thematic programs of 30 minutes each.

The interface is very similar to the one utilized by program guide viewers on standard cable TV.

Pluto.tv offers already more than 100 thematic video channels all curated by human beings.

My comment: An effective approach to surface great video content

while delivering it in a familiar and consumable format.

Available also as an app for iOS and Android.

Free to use.

Try it out now: http://pluto.tv

Clip, Upload and Organize Video Clips Into Dedicated Channels with Waywire

Robin Good's insight:

Waywire is a new video curation tool which allows anyone to clip, collect, share and organize into video channels. You can edit the information relative to any video including title, description and relevant tags/hashtags.

Waywire lets you also clip any video you find on the web through a dedicated bookmarklet, upload any video you have on your computer or record your own clips right while you are logged in.

Channels, which are called "wires", are presented as Pinterest-like video boards with the unique advantage of being editable (you can move and position your video pins as you like), can be played back as a full continuous stream, and you can create as many of them as you want.

Every video clipped as well as you "wires" can easily be shared on your Facebook or Twitter social media channels, and you can follow individual curators and "wires" that interest you.

Waywire works also as an excellent video search and discovery tool.

Free to use.

Collect and organize videos into wires you can share.

Video is everywhere these days. Whether it’s on a website or on your phone use #waywire to organize it all in one place. Express yourself and your interests or tell a story by arranging videos and creating wires that others can follow.

Robin Good's comment, April 22, 2013 11:42 AM

Video Curation Tools: Auto-Collect, Save and Organize Your Favorite Clips with Vidque

Video Curation Tools: Auto-Collect, Save and Organize Your Favorite Clips with Vidque | Content Curation World | Scoop.it

Robin Good: Vidque is a web service which allows you to easily collect video clips from any website, RSS feed or Twitter account as they are published automatically. You can then later tag, edit the related info for each to help your collections stay organized.

From the official site: "Vidque is a free curation platform designed to help discover, filter and archive online video content. Controlled and curated by its users, Vidque aims to simplify the discovery of quality video content through the joint effort of the online community."

Vidque allows you to follow other Vidque users and to see and save all of the content they share.

Vidque is also capable of auto-collecting all of the video clips that are in one page by simply providing the reference URL of that web page.

All saved clips end up in your "collection", which can be viewed also according to the tags you have associated with each saved clip.
