EU FUNDING OPPORTUNITIES AND PROJECT MANAGEMENT TIPS

General objectives

Projects submitted under this call under both lots should aim at:

1.

Disseminating and/or scaling up good practices on inclusive learning initiated in particular at local level. In the context of the present call, scaling up means replicating good practice on a wider scale/transferring it to a different context or implementing it at a higher/systemic level;

or

2.

Developing and implementing innovative methods and practices to foster inclusive education and/or youth environments in specific contexts.

Each application must address one general objective and one of the specific objectives, which are listed separately for Lot 1 and for Lot 2. Both the general and specific objectives of the call are exhaustive: proposals that do not address them will not be considered.

 Budget

The total budget available for the co-financing of projects under the present call is EUR 10 000 000 allocated as follows:

Lot 1— Education and training EUR 8 000 000

Lot 2— Youth EUR 2 000 000

The financial contribution from the EU cannot exceed 80 % of the total eligible project costs.

The maximum grant per project will be EUR 500 000.

The Agency reserves the right not to distribute all the funds available for this call.

6.   Submission procedure and deadline

The submission deadline is: 22 May 2017 — 12.00 (noon) CET

The overall objective of this call aims at supporting the creation, the improvement and the wider dissemination of support schemes for migrant entrepreneurs.

The lead applicant training will take place in Hotel Westin, Zagreb (Croatia) from 10-11 May 2016, followed by a limited number of individual consultations on 12 May 2016.

Slots for individual consultations on 12 May 2016 will be offered on a first-come-first serve basis. Registration for these will open with the event registration in late April. In addition to the consultations offered on the day after the lead applicant training, the joint secretariat will be available for consultations either personally in Vienna or via phone/skype after an online registration.

Scope:

The objective is to reinforce the competitiveness of manufacturing SMEs by providing easy and pan-European access to advanced manufacturing advice and expertise as well as training programmes. The services to be provided to the SME should be driven by its business needs and the implementation must be flexible and fast to better cope with the speed of innovation in advanced manufacturing and the SME requirements.

The action will consist of the two elements (which can be combined) listed below which will continue and expand the activities of the Advanced Manufacturing Support Centre :

• The roll-out of a pan-European advanced manufacturing assistance programme helping SMEs with the ambition to turn into a factory of the future: Reaching out to companies and assisting a critical mass of manufacturing SMEs with a view to transform their business towards a factory of the future with modern and sustainable production.

Expected Impact:

• Provide a clear and measurable contribution of the advanced manufacturing assistance and training programme to the innovation performance and environmental and social sustainability of the supported SMEs, as revealed by indicators such as: numbers of new or significantly improved production processes, products or services or new organisational methods; its impact on resource efficiency; its impact on productivity, production lead times, investments and/or turnover; number of SMEs that prepared a concrete plan to upgrade their manufacturing processes during the action; its impact on technical and non­technical competences acquired and workers involvement; a wider impact on job creation is also expected to be measured in the longer term.

• Frameworks for training programmes related to advanced manufacturing, ready for implementation within the duration of the action. These should propose a pathway on how to facilitate a further scaling-up under the European Social Fund.

The training services should include practical, "on-site" training delivered at facilities where technologies can be tested and demonstrated such as pilot lines (e.g. "learning by doing",
"learning factories", fab labs). Proposals should include solutions to overcome the challenge of both geographical distance and the gender segregation.

The objective is to contribute to the effective and coherent application of EU law in the areas of civil law, criminal law and fundamental rights, judicial ethics and the rule of law, by helping to address the training needs of justice professionals in these fields. It also targets the specific training needs of court staff and bailiffs, as well as prison and probation staff.

Priorities

The main objective is to contribute to the effective and coherent application of the acquis relating to judicial cooperation in civil and criminal matters.

The priority shall be given to the following:

• support setting up and strengthening of national networks under the European Judicial Network in civil and commercial matters in order to ensure better implementation and case-handling under the civil justice legislation.

The aim of strengthened national networks would be to promote better implementation of EU civil justice instruments through cooperation, dialogue, sharing of experience, exchange of information and training (where appropriate also in liaison with other national systems).

Scope:

The topic calls for promoting Digital Innovation Hubs in agriculture. It should address the adoption of ICT-based solutions for more productive and sustainable agriculture systems. The focus is on innovative technologies that need to be customized, integrated, tested and validated not only by technology developers but also the farming community before they are placed on the market. Special emphasis is on the strengthening of European start-ups and SMEs by adopting new concepts linked to innovative agri-business and/or service models, and connecting them with actors that can provide access to finance, advanced training skills, knowledge and needs of the farming community.

The Call for Proposals Technical Assistance invites national and regional administrations to submit applications for actions to strengthen their operational and administrative capacity to fight fraud, corruption and other irregularities perpetrated against the Union's financial interests.

The deadline for submission of applications is Thursday, 9 June 2016

The Call for Proposals Legal Training and Studies invites national and regional administrations, research institutes, universities and Not for Profit Organisations (NPO) to submit applications for actions to develop high profile research activities (including comparative law studies), the organisation of Conferences (including the annual meeting of the presidents of the Associations for European criminal law) as well as actions to raise awareness of the judiciary and other branches of the legal profession for the protection of the Union's financial interests.

The deadline for submission of applications is Thursday, 16 June 2016.

The Call for Proposals Training and Conferences invites national and regional administrations, research institutes, universities, NPO's and NGO's to submit applications for actions, such as the organisation of targeted specialised and risk analysis training workshops, conferences aimed at protecting the financial interests of the Union and at same time to attain an equivalent level of protection across the Union. The training actions are also intended to create networks between Member States, accession countries, candidate countries, non-EU Member States and international public organisations in order to facilitate exchange of information, experience and best practices.
