Themeefy is a new free content curation service that lets you discover content and stories from multiple sources and lets you publish it in the form of a flip-page magazine.
Themeefy is in closed beta right now, but you can get an idea of what it does and how it works by looking at the video demo here: http://www.themeefy.com/getStarted
Overall, Themeefy integrates typical real-time news gathering, aggregation, editing and curation features in an easy to use free service.
Its weakest part may be likely it's very core final output module, which while being unique in this sector, does not provide great usability, limits legibility, and adopts too literally a physical world medium.
As a general approach, the idea of a magazine-like delivery of a curated collection of items, is quite OK. But unless such electronic magazine has all of the advantages of the digital medium, and none of the limitations of its physical ancestor, it may never succeed.
Given the time to improve their output formats, Themeefy may become a valuable and competitive tool in the real-time news curation space.
